ORDER DIRECTING DEFENDANTS TO RESPOND TO PLAINTIFF'S COMPLAINT WITHIN THIRTY DAYS

Plaintiff is a state prisoner proceeding pro se in this civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Defendants removed the action to this Court from Kings County Superior Court on March 20, 2007. The court has screened plaintiff's complaint pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1915A and finds that the complaint states cognizable claims for relief against the named defendants for violation of plaintiff's rights under the Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution.

Accordingly, Defendants are HEREBY ORDERED to file a response to the complaint within thirty (30) days from the date of service of this order.

IT IS SO ORDERED.
