James L. Jefferson v. J.R. Weaver

IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA

August 23, 2012

JAMES L. JEFFERSON
PLAINTIFF,
v.
J.R. WEAVER, ET AL., DEFENDANTS.

The opinion of the court was delivered by: Craig M. Kellison United States Magistrate Judge

ORDER

Plaintiff, a state prisoner proceeding pro se, brought this civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The court has granted the defendants' motion for summary judgment, judgment has been entered, and this case was closed on August 13, 2012.

Plaintiff has now filed a motion for injunctive relief (Doc. 53), which was received after judgment was entered and this action was closed. As this is no longer an active case, the court has no jurisdiction to entertain a motion for injunctive relief. Plaintiff may file a notice of appeal, or he may file a new action if he has been subjected to additional potential civil rights violations.

However, plaintiff is advised that any additional documents filed in this case will be disregarded and no order will issue in response to future filings.

SO ORDERED.
