Defendants Steven and Carol Wright ("the Wrights"), now proceeding pro se, move for an extension of time to file their brief and the record on appeal. On September 17, 2012, defendants filed a Notice of Appeal with this court. (See Joint Notice of Appeal (Docket No. 123).) "Once a notice of appeal is filed, the district court loses jurisdiction over a case."
United States v. Sadler, 480 F.3d 932, 941 (9th Cir. 2007). Any request to extend the briefing schedule or time to file the record must be directed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. See Ninth Cir. Rule 31-2.2(a) and (b).
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that defendants' motion for an extension of time to file their brief and record on appeal be, and the same hereby is, DENIED.
